A Taranaki Pilgrimage - Oct 2024

There were many elements to this three day pilgrimage in New Plymouth and surrounds.

We gathered on Friday evening for dinner near the coastal walkway and walked to the Ngati te Whiti new marae site.

We joined Hoani Eriwata on Saturday morning to walk into and hear about some of the Waitara battles in the battlefields.

On Saturday evening we were part of a much larger audience to a panel discussion curated by the Taranaki Heritage Society.

We finished our pilgrimage at Te Whare Hononga in New Plymouth on Sunday at midday.
